This is a beautiful 1899 Black Eagle $1 Silver Certificate, one of the most iconic and collectible U.S. notes. Known as a “horse blanket” for its oversized design, it features a bold Bald Eagle with wings spread, flanked by portraits of Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses S. Grant.
 
Aside from two small “V” cuts on the edges (one top, one bottom), it is in pretty good shape for its age. A very attractive note that would make a standout addition to any paper money collection.
